My
primary interest is in the area of Cardiac MRI. Together
with the Cardiac MRI team (Dr. Vonder Muhll, M. Noga,
and T. Elliot) at the University of Alberta Hospital, I
am involved in a number of research projects. Among
these are several myocardial perfusion projects, as well
as a study of myocarditis, which is an inflammatory
condition of the heart. Also, I am currently
investigating the detection of right ventricular
disease.
In the future I intend to pursue research in the area of detection of rejection in cardiac transplant patients. I will further examine the detection and prognostic outcomes in RV infarction. Moreover, I would be interested in setting up a research and clinical MRI database as well as carrying out projects in the field of echocardiography.
