Message from the Director

The Pulmonary Research Group (PRG) at the University of Alberta is a multi-disciplinary group composed of 18 full members and 15 associate members who pursue research interests in respiratory disease.

Our studies range from molecular, laboratory-based investigation to health outcome measurements related to disease prevalence and treatment evaluation and follow up.

The PRG has a strong basic science research program and promotes close collaborations and interactions with the clinical component of the group based mainly at the Division of Pulmonary Medicine at the University of Alberta Hospital.

The goal of the PRG is to promote and advance novel applied translational studies that brings together basic and clinical scientists in a highly integrated, hypothesis-driven and thematically based research.
